Abstract

Diploma thesis is continuation of author's previous work, bachelor thesis. Previous work treats of proposal of GIS for Department of School of the Moravian-Silesian Region. It was worked out two years ago. Author continue in cooperation with mentioned region's department in this diploma thesis. Goal of the thesis is project of web map application for Department of School, Moravian-Silesian Region.

In the introduction of the work there is theoretical basis for application. It has to be based on technology specified by employees of region's office. ArcGIS Server was selected. In the introduction is also described how is similar issue solved elsewhere in the Czech Republic.

In the next part there is description of making materials for application. Author worked with Department of School's data. Map projects of tasks were created according to client's requirements. Next part of the thesis theoretically treats of different possibilities of solution. In the next step are practically showed two ways of solution.

Two ways of solution were chosen after consulation with competent person in region's office. Chosen ways of solution were by making application by ArcGIS Server Manager's tools and by Silverlight. In the end of the thesis there are materials which describe application made by one of two mentioned ways in detail.
