Abstract
JOHANIDES, Marek. Experimental and numerical analysis of rotational stiffness of selected connections of timber structures. Ostrava, 2022. Dissertation. VŠB - Technická univerzita Ostrava. Director of studies prof. Ing. Antonín Lokaj, Ph.D.
The dissertation deals with the analysis of a semi-rigid connection of two struts and a crossbar formed of mechanical connecting means of the dowel type. Two types of binders were used for the analysis. The first type was a standard combination of bolts and dowels, and the second fastener was full threaded screws. Load-bearing capacity, rotational stiffness and ductility were investigated at the connection. The results of the experimental testing were compared with a numerical model. The analysis required the creation of real-scale experiments for both destructive and non-destructive testing, as well as detailed numerical models created in AnsysTM software.
