Abstract
The thesis examines protection agains floods in city quarter Ostrava Svinov. It rise protection from Q20 floods to Q100. After rethinking current conditions in catchment area was purpose a several options to solve the problem. As the best one is seems build dry polder. Proposal is proving by drawings: site plan, longitudinal section thru reservoar, longitudinal section thru dam, cross section thru dam, layout and cross section by culvert and hydro-technical formula: Batigraphic curves dam, Rating curves dam for Q100 and Q50, Rating curvers for pressurized pipe flow, safety overflow, connecting water trough under safety overflow, and waterbeds.
