Dopad kapitálových požadavků Basel III na bankovní sektor České republiky

Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to sketch possible impact of Basel III capital requirements on banking sector of the Czech Republic. To clarification of possible impacts will be firstly studied bank capital, it’s specification and function. Afterwards will be shortly introduced the Basel Committee on Banking Supervison, previous Basel Accords, their evolution and importance. Next there will be analysed Basel III, it’s main points and changes both in capital requirements as well as in general level. The Czech Republic as a member of European Union will be forced to apply rules in scope given by European Union so that’s why we’ll go through the „european“ form of Basel III. In this way we would get to assessing of Czech banking sector, finding his specifications and after that to estimating impacts and consequences which are based on situation of Czech banking sector and expected impacts of Basel III.
