Abstract

In this Bachelor thesis I deal with the invasive species problematics and their monitoring in protected landscape area Poodri focusing on plant species Solidago canadensis, which has started to slowly spread and disturb local biotopes rich on wide variety of species over the past few years. Invasive species are especially dangerous in the protected areas, because of its unlimited population expansion and hence disturbing their original ecosystems and exceptional original biodiversity, but problems of invasive species grows to a global scale and we can encounter them practically anywhere. From these problems we can feel its growing urgency and need of spreading the awareness of the wide public about possible consequences of plant invasions. In the final part of this thesis I present a mapping of occurrence and frequency of Solidago Canadensis I did in selected areas of PLA Poodri, evaluation of these selected plant associations and possibility of further spreading of Solidago canadensis out of them to the open landscape of PLA.
