Ekonomické hodnocení vybraných nemocničních zařízení

Abstract

The aim of this Diploma Thesis is to define basic general knowledge about the efficiency of health care with the subsequent comparison of the results of the selected model, which was used to determine the technical efficiency of selected hospitals. The first part of the thesis focuses on the position of hospitals in the health system, evaluating efficiency by using specific methods and characteristics of hospitals in the legal form of allowance organization. The second part deals with the detailed description of the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), its principles and applications of the selected input-oriented CCR DEA model with constant returns to scale. In conclusion, there are set the target values which the inefficient units should reach to become effective units.
