Abstract

Thesis isconcerning about warehousing of particular company. The theoretical part describes and summarizes the current knowledge of this sphere, the practical part describes the situation of stock in a private company XY, s.r.o., analyzed the 2010. The work focuses on software skills, characteristics of individual stores and handling equipment. There are analyzed stocks from the perspective of types, inventory turnover, sales to customers and also seasonality of these sales. The graph shows the time evolution of the total sales of materials to customers and also the stock items were analyzed according to inventory control. To find bottlenecks and an overall assessment of storage besides of exact methods I have chosen the method of controlled interview with employees. Objective was to assess the system of stock in this company. Thesis also contains proposals for appropriate solutions that will reduce business costs associated with storage, and proposal for new techniques to facilitate material handling.
