Konkurenceschopnost města Opavy v cestovním ruchu

Abstract

The topic of diploma thesis is "Competitiveness of the Opava City in the Tourism". The submitter is Opava City, the department of development of city and strategic planning. At the beginning of my thesis the main objective was defined, i. e. to suggest proposals to improvement of position Opava City in tourism, so that Opava was able to compete in relation to other cities. Opava attracts more tourists from the Czech Republic and from abroad. Achieving of the main objective consists of two partial objectives. The first of them is detailed analysis of turistic equipment chosen cities and the second of them is marketing research finding out motivation of visit and quality of tourism infrastructure of Opava City. The first chapter is theoretic, deals with posiblilities to research competitiveness in the tourism. Key concepts the city and competitiveness in the tourism are defined. The first chapter includes assumptions and potentials of the tourist development, primary and secondary supply of the trourism and impacts of the tourism on the city. The following chapter analyses primary and secondary supply of the choosing cities. The next chapter is based on marketing research of Opava City. The last chapter is devoted proposals and suggestions to improvement and increase of competitiveness in the tourism of Opava City.
