Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the problematics of the impact of thermal effects in the form of radiant heat on the strength of low stretch rope with a sheathed core used by fire rescue services. The introductory part focuses on the description of static rope and thermal effect. The practical part contains a description of the used instruments, tested methods, and the evaluation of the measurement results. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to determine the levels of decrease in the strength of low stretch rope exposed to the thermal effects of radiant heat.
