Abstract

The presenting bachelor´s degree thesis deals with „Process Capability Assessment of Bars Rolling on Light Section Rolling Mill“. The aim is to analyse rolling process capability using statistic method in all proportion series rolled on light section mill in Třinecké železárny, a.s. company. A workpiece of the bachelor´s degree thesis also creates comparison of results capability assessment at particular proportion series and examination if it is possible to guarantee statistic process capability in whole measurement profile rolled bars, diameter 16mm – 80mm rolled on light section rolling mill. The theoretical part contents the presentation of Třinec metalworks factory – the company, where the measurement was realized. The attention then is paid to the light section rolling mill characteristics, rolling process description and theoretical analysis of process capability assessment questions. Practical part focuses on proper process capability assessment of bars for all examined sizes including comparison of particular results and possible improvement suggestions.
