Dostavba Masarykova náměstí v Ostravě

Abstract

Tématem diplomové práce je návrh podoby a možnosti využití nezastavěné plochy po zbouraném bloku u Masarykova náměstí v historickém centru Ostravy. Zároveň nabízí možnou odpověď na problematiku zahušťování center měst a jak pracovat s prázdnými prolukami. Návrh se snaží respektovat historický kontext a zároveň se snaží stát se součástí místa bez narušení jeho původního charakteru.

The subject of the diploma thesis is the design of the form and potential use of an undeveloped site left after the demolition of a block near Masaryk Square in the historic center of Ostrava. At the same time, it offers a possible response to the issue of densifying city centers and how to approach vacant urban gaps. The proposal seeks to respect the historical context while also aiming to become a natural part of the place without disrupting its original character.
