Ivana Mahdalová, Ph.D. The purpose of this thesis is the reconstruction of current level intersection of Ostravská and Michálkovická street in Petřvald into the roundabout, worked up to the extent of the technical study. Main reason for the reconstruction of this intersection is to facilitate left turn from side street Michálkovická that is problematic due to traffic intensity in main direction. The thesis focuses on description of selected area and its current state, the calculation of traffic intensity, following capacity evaluation and accident rate. The aim of this study is to project the possible alternatives of the reconstruction, work up the capacity evaluation of these alternatives and their comparison. In conclusion the most suitable alternative of the reconstruction is recommended.
