Abstract
Following the end of the coronavirus pandemic, many companies in the Czech Republic transitioned to a hybrid work model. The aim of this master’s thesis, titled “Assessment of Differences in the Perception of the Hybrid Work Model among Generations X, Y, and Z in the Frýdek-Místek District,” was to identify differences in the perception of the hybrid work model and its related aspects among individual generations in the Frýdek-Místek District. Through a questionnaire survey and semi-structured interviews, the thesis contributes to a deeper understanding of the employment of different generations in a hybrid work environment, while also formulating practical recommendations for its effective implementation.
The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the historical development of human resource management, remote work, and related aspects. The practical part includes a description of the Frýdek-Místek District, presentation of the research results, discussion, and proposals for practical recommendations. These recommendations address the identified problems and challenges with the aim of improving the functioning of the hybrid work model.
