Abstract
The aim of the diploma thesis is to update the water management balance of the newly created waterworks of Lake Most. Lake Most was created on the site of a residual pit after surface mining of brown coal in the Ležáky-Most quarry. A sifnificant problém of an already infused lak eis the calculation of evaporation and the related maintenance of the operating level of the lake at a height od 199 meters above the sea level.
In the first part of the diploma thesis, I present the origin of the residual pit and the development of its filling. Hydrological and climatic conditions in the Most Basin are also important for fluent filling. At the some time, the newly created aquatic ekosystem of Lake Most is monitored and analyzed. An evaporator was set up on the water surfage to monitor the evaporation, and the water quality was also monitored.
A necessary follow-up part of the situation anylysis i salso the prediction of the future development of the lake level. I deal with this topic in the second part. I present data measured in weather stations set up on Lake Most, which are part of the measuring network, and I share a comparison of operational and meteorological data. Subsequently, I present a comparison of evaporfation calculations using empirical formulas with measured values.
Ind the third part of the work, I determine the evaporation using Tichomir’s and Šermer’s equations and compare them with the values from the measuring network.
