Abstract
The aim of this work is a theoretical analysis of high-entropy alloys (HEA) and their selected properties. In the practical part HEA was analyzed, made by vacuum arc melting of the chemical composition FexCrCuMnNi with Fe content of 50, 60, 70 and 80 wt.% and with remaining elements in the even proportions of 12,5 or 10 or 7,5 and or 5 wt.% in particular samples. After casting, for each of the four alternatives tensile tests and microhardness tests were performed. HEA containing 80 wt.% Fe was also tested for resistance to hydrogen induced embrittlement. Microfractography and microstructural analysis of all four HEA alternatives are also included.
