Abstract

The aim of the thesis "The Development of Clusters in the Czech Republic and the Moravian-Silesian Region" is to analyze and evaluate cluster policy in the Czech Republic, its impact on regional development and to evaluate the most important clusters in the Moravian-Silesian Region. The first part deals with the role of clusters in regional development, regional development and regional policy. It is also defined in this section, the term cluster and clustering process. The second part deals with the evaluation of cluster policy in the Czech Republic in the different programming periods. The last part focuses on the analysis of the sectoral structure of clusters in the Moravian-Silesian Region.
