Determinace mezd v Evropské unii

Abstract

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou mezd v Evropské unii a faktorům, které mohou výši mzdy ovlivňovat. Cílem práce je zjistit vliv vybraných proměnných na výši průměrné hrubé měsíční mzdy v Evropské unii za rok 2010 prostřednictvím regresní analýzy. Práce je rozdělena do tří stěžejních kapitol. První kapitola „Teoretická východiska determinant mezd“ je zaměřena na studium odborné literatury. Druhá kapitola „Determinace mezd v odborné literatuře, metodologie“ je věnována rešerši empirických studií týkajících se rozdílů ve mzdách. Analyzována je především odborná literatura zaměřená na osobnostní a institucionální charakteristiky. Třetí kapitola „Ekonometrická analýza determinace mezd v Evropské unii“ je věnována samotné regresní analýze realizované pomocí metody nejmenších čtverců. Ekonometrická analýza je provedena na základě datového souboru pro země Evropské unie za rok 2010.

This thesis deals with the issue of wages in the European Union and the factors that may influence the amount of wages. The aim is to determine the influence of selected variables on the average gross monthly wage in the European Union in 2010 through regression analysis. The work is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter "Theoretical determinants of wages" is focused on the study of literature. The second chapter "Determination of wages in the literature, methodology" is dedicated to the search of empirical studies on wage differentials. Analyzed scientific literature is primarily focused on personal and institutional characteristics. The third chapter "The econometric analysis of wage determination in the European Union" is dedicated to the regression analysis carried out by the method of least squares. Econometric analysis is performed based on the data file for the countries of the European Union in 2010.
