Abstract

Technology of anoxic and aerobic regeneration of the returned sludge is categorized into wastewater treatment processes increasingly. This technology has its proponents and opponents. Bachelor's thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The first section introduces the importance of nitrogen in wastewater and processes occurring in biological wastewater treatment. A special chapter is devoted to the regeneration of activated sludge. The practical part deals with the three laboratory experiments in which were tested processes related to changes in nitrogen compounds and their balance during regeneration of the return sludge oxic and anoxic conditions.
