Abstract

The submitted master´s thesis focuses on the issue of risks faced by members of the Fire Rescue Service during interventions at traffic accidents. The aim of the thesis is to analyze risks arising from the technical condition of damaged vehicles, transported cargo, the behavior of traffic accident participants, and selected external environmental factors. The theoretical part is focused on the organizational structure of the Fire Rescue Service, traffic accidents, occupational safety, and risks at the intervention site. The practical part is based on a questionnaire survey conducted among members of the Fire Rescue Service. The obtained data are statistically evaluated using the chi-square test of independence. The result of the thesis is the identification of the most significant sources of risk and possible recommendations aimed at inceasing the safety of intervention activities at traffic accidents.
