Abstract

Thesis contains an overview of boilers and furnaces used in power and metallurgy industries, and closer focuses on the heaters of combustion air. Thesis explains, why the heat exchangers are used in boilers and furnaces. It characterizes the functional principles of heaters. There is also presented an example of heat transfers surface calculation of tubular heater of combustion air in the final part of thesis.
