Abstract

The Diploma Thesis deals with the issue of manual handling of loads and the associated physical burden from the perspective of national and international legal regulations. Specifically, it identifies risk factors in the implementation of manual handling of loads and its negative impact on the human body. Further, it examines current obligations of employers in the area of occupational health and safety in detail; it contains proposals, procedures and recommendations while performing these obligations. Information gained through elaboration of the theoretical basis is subsequently verified in practice, the actual state is assessed, and preventive measures and recommendations are proposed.
