Aleš Dudáček. 68 p. This master thesis deals with the influence of air gaps on heat transfer through the material structure of firefighting suits. The work is diveded into two parts: theoretical and practical. The first part is focused to the summary overview of the firefighting suits, their material, history and technical requirements. In the next part are described the introduction to heat transfer and heat transfer through material structure of firefighting suits with air gaps and the heat transfer model. The practical part is concentrated on determining inluence of air gaps on heat transfer through the material structure of firefighting suits with experimental determination of the thermal resistance in each layer of the fabric sample depending on temperature and it is compared new sample with the used sample suit Deva Tiger plus.
