Abstract

My project deals with corporate responsibility (CR) at ArcelorMittal Ostrava, where the concept was introduced after the company had been sold to a foreign proprietor. Its target is to analyse whether employees understand the corporate responsibility matters, whether employees know the CR concept and are able to further develop. Understanding and knowledge of the concept by employees can be greatly instrumental in making the concept work and producing long term benefits for the company. The project has two parts – theoretical and practical. The theoretical part establishes how the CR concept is described in literature, introduces ArcelorMittal Ostrava a.s. and its CR activities. The practical part focuses on the analysis of a questionnaire survey whose objective was to find out whether and to what extent employees are aware of CR at ArcelorMittal Ostrava a.s. The conclusion proposes how to improve the staff's awareness of CR.
