Abstract
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare and evaluate regional disparities at the level of NUTS II regions in Denmark and to evaluate the implementation of regional policy in Denmark. This bachelor thesis contains a brief description of the socio-economic strucuture of the Kingdom of Denmark and presents the Danish regions Hovedstaden, Sjaelland, Syddanmark, Midjylland and Nordjylland, which were compared by using the traffic light method and point method using the indicators of economic, social and territorial cohesion in 2009-2017. Using the point method, an index of regional disparities was compiled. Then, a summary analysis and evaluation of EU regional policy in Denmark in the programming periods 2007-2013 and 2014-2020 was carried out, in which Denmark drew EU funds in order to meet the set goals of the Lisbon Strategy and the Strategy Europe 2020 and other set goals and priorities by investing in various programs and projects.
