Abstract
This thesis addresses the current issue of work-life balance, which refers to the equilibrium between professional and personal life—an increasingly important factor influencing both employee satisfaction and company performance in today’s dynamic society. The aim of the thesis was to assess the current state of work-life balance in a selected company and, based on the findings, propose concrete recommendations for its improvement. The theoretical part draws on Czech and international literature, focusing on the definition of key concepts, identification of main factors affecting work-life balance, and an overview of modern trends in flexible working arrangements and employee benefits. The practical part includes a company analysis, a questionnaire survey among 52 employees, and three interviews with representatives of different generations. The research results revealed that the main barriers to achieving optimal work-life balance are excessive overtime and unclear rules for home office use. The main recommendations include limiting overtime, establishing clear home office policies, training managers in task delegation, and expanding the range of benefits, such as additional vacation days or a MultiSport card. Implementing these measures should contribute to increased employee satisfaction and strengthen the company’s competitiveness in the labor market.
