Abstract
The objective of this thesis is the assessment and description of types of overvoltage surges, potentialities of diagnostic methods for testing the functions and reliability and therefore increasing the security of protected properties and devices. I have used my own experience in performing the diagnosis of overvoltage surges VVN to complete the thesis.
