Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of land recultivation after sand mining in the Závada sand pit in the Moravian-Silesian Region. The diploma thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, it deals with the description of the treated area, the preparatory work, and the legislative that precede the mining process. Furthermore, the mining method and technologies that are used in the sand pit. In the practical part, it deals with proposals for biological and technical reclamation and the possibility of enriching the existing overburden with compost, sewage sludge or peat. It assesses the qualitative aspect of use as well as the economic benefit.
