Muzeum současného umění – Praha 8

Abstract

Diplomová práce se zabývá architektonickým návrhem muzea současného umění umístěného v městské části Praha 8 – Karlín, v lokalitě Rohanského ostrova při ulici Rohanské nábřeží. Území je charakteristické bezprostřední blízkostí řeky Vltavy a dynamickým rozvojem nové městské zástavby s převážně bytovou funkcí a aktivním parterem. Cílem práce je navrhnout muzeum současného umění jako otevřenou kulturní instituci reagující na potřeby dnešní společnosti a aktuální architektonické trendy. Návrh se zaměřuje na začlenění objektu do urbanistického kontextu lokality, jeho měřítko, charakter a vztah k veřejnému prostoru. Součástí řešení je rovněž návrh veřejných prostranství, která propojují muzeum s přilehlým parkem a vytvářejí kontinuální prostorové vazby v území, a to od historického objektu Invalidovny až po nově navržený objekt muzea.

This diploma thesis focuses on the architectural design of a museum of contemporary art located in Prague 8 – Karlín, within the area of Rohanský Island along Rohanské nábřeží. The site is characterized by its close relationship to the Vltava River and by the dynamic development of new urban structures with a predominantly residential function and active ground floors. The aim of the thesis is to design a museum of contemporary art as an open cultural institution responding to the needs of contemporary society and current architectural trends. The proposal emphasizes the integration of the building into the urban context of the site, its scale, character, and relationship to public space. An integral part of the design is the proposal of public spaces that connect the museum with the adjacent park and create continuous spatial links within the area, extending from the historical building of the Invalidovna to the newly designed museum structure.
