Abstract
The internal market belongs to the most important factors and successes of the European integration. The aim of this diploma work is through the information available to theoretically define the issues of the Single Internal Market in the European Union focusing on free movement of persons, to analyze implications arising for the Czech Republic and evaluate the current state and expected development in this area.
First part of this work deals with the characteristics of the internal market of the EU with concentration on its gradual development and four basic freedoms – free movement of goods, services, persons and capital. Second part focuses on problematic of free movement of persons in the EU and analysis of all four categories of freedom of movement of persons. The last capitol contains analysis of current and former situation of the CR within the internal market and especially the free movement of persons, and there is described development of the CR in greater detail in the context of membership in the EU and impact of free movement of persons on the Czech economy.
