Abstract
This bachelor thesis deals with the assessment of the possibility of investing in selected commodities, specifically crude oil, silver, gold, coffee, sugar and wheat. The objective was to determine which of these commodities represents the most suitable investment option. The evaluation was based on indicators of return and volatility over the period from 1995 to 2024. The results indicated that gold is the most suitable investment among the compared commodities. The conclusion of this thesis may serve as a basis for investors considering investments in the commodity market.
