Abstract

My bachelor thesis is named „ Employee Development and Education in the Selected Company”. The selected organization has been a Bohumín based company BONATRANS GROUP, a.s. where I have used my acquired knowledge related to the subject. The bachelor thesis comprises both theoretical and practical part. In the first part I describe the process of education and personal development of employees from the general perspective and I have included the basic definitions of this domain. Subsequently, I have pointed at necessity of systematic education, named the forms and methods of personal development and education of the employees and last but not least I’ve also addressed the financial support of this aspect from the European Union funds. The second part contains the concrete example of the process of personal development and education of employees. I have briefly introduced the company BONATRANS GROUP, a.s., its history, key product information, employees’ structure, references etc. In this practical section I’ve interconnected the theoretical findings and the reality. The situation in the company has been analyzed mainly through questionnaires. I have used the questionnaires to learn the views of the employees and to identify potential gaps in this area. I have focused on the existing foreign languages education because I have found there several insufficiencies. Based on the gathered information I have proposed five essential recommendations that I consider to be able to improve the situation as it is today in the company. My suggestions include tests for participants, control of attendance of lessons, magnitude of the learning groups and potential change in the time schedule of the lessons.
