Abstract

My bachelor thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, I discuss human resources management and its activities, and try to describe the process of recruiting, selecting and engaging employees in more details. The practical part is divided into three chapters. In the first chapter, I discuss a company as a whole. In the second chapter, I discuss the process of recruiting, selecting and engaging employees. Finally, in the last chapter, I try to propose recommendations which would improve the current process. The objective of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the current status of the process of recruiting, selecting and engaging employees in the company Dalkia Czech Republic – Region of Northern Moravia, and to suggest relevant measures to improve this process. FINDINGS Dalkia Czech Republic – Region of North Moravia falls among the companies that pay a great attention to the process of recruiting, selecting and engaging employees. I suppose to have fulfilled the objective of my bachelor thesis as I proposed several improvements that stems from the performed analysis. These are, use of the „assessment centre“ method, closer cooperation with human resouces agencies, adverising at schools and through their intranet, and extension of advertising through daily press. I believe that my recommendations will contribute to the improvement of the process of recruiting, selecting and engaging employees.
