Abstract

At the Dolní Bojanovice UGS the natural gas is stored mainly in the depleted oil and gas deposits. The stored gas in the UGS is being contaminated by other components and material (gas moisture, hydrocarbons), which adversely affect the quality of gas. These components must be separated from the gas before the gas is expedited into the transporting system. Since the UGS was commisioned in 1999, the gas quality regulations has tightened (in accordance with Rule No 108/2011) and the current technology is not any more able to meet the gas specification. This thesis describes the currently available technology for gas drying. In the end the thesis suggests an economicly viable technical solution. Instalation of such technology enable to meet the current legal requirements for the gas quality, while it also provides a sufficient reserve for another tightening of regulations.
