Abstract

The aim of the thesis is to preprare project documentation for a block of flats which houses retail outlets located in Hněvotín, in the Olomouc Region and to assess the financial and time requirements for two different flat roof designs. The building, a part of a housing development comprised of apartment buildings and family houses on the outskirts of the community, is situated on a gently sloped lot. The four storey building with a partial basement is comprised of two retail outlets and nineteen flats. The load bearing structures are comprised of a combined wall structural system. The walls are made up of the Wienerberger Porotherm system. The ceiling structure is made from Spiroll (steel) reinforced concrete panels and the roof is of a flat design. The residential building comprises a total of thirty- nine habitable rooms.
