Zhodnocení eGovernmentu v České republice a zemích Visegrádské skupiny

Abstract

Diploma thesis “Evaluation of the e-Government in the Czech Republic and Countries of the Visegrad Group” evaluates the level of e-Government using EGDI, DESI indices and European Commission studies. The aim of the thesis is to assess the level of e-Government in the Visegrad Group countries using selected indices. The first hypothesis of the diploma thesis is that the level of e-Government in the Visegrad Group countries, in comparison with other countries of the European Union, is below-average according to DESI, EGDI indices and European Commission studies. The second hypothesis is that the Czech Republic has the most advanced level of e-Government of the Visegrad Group countries. Comparison and analysis were selected as a scientific method to verify the hypotheses. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with information policy of the European Union, explains the concept of e-Government and describes public administration of the Visegrad Group countries. The practical parts is focused on the evaluation of the e-Government’s level using selected indices. The final part of the thesis is an evaluation of the hypotheses and of the situation in the Czech Republic.
