Kultura v postindustriálním městě : Kulturní Ostrava

Abstract

The subject of diploma thesis is evaluation of the impact of culture on sustainability of post-industrial city and proposal to supplement the existing cultural network of Ostrava. On the basis of the evaluation of sustainability were determined spaces, which are need to support in process of stabilization cultural network of the city. The existing network was complemented by cultural institutions of all levels. Influence on the formations of urban spaces was evaluated. As the representative institution of high culture was prepared study on Mementorium and Moravian-Silesian Square, as the connecting identification element of the city. Location of Mementorium and Square was chosen with regard to the elaboration of the study of sustainability in potentially strange space of urban river Ostravice, at the narrowest contact between Moravian Ostrava and Silesian Ostrava.
