The thesis deals with the stability of the Vrchovec slope in Doubrava near Orlová. The first part of the thesis is devoted to general problems of slope stability, namely classification of slope failures, remediation and geotechnical monitoring of slopes. One
of the chapters is also devoted to general methods of solving slope stability. The main aim of this work, however, was to assess the stability of a particular slope, describe possible causes of instability, evaluate and propose methods of stabilization. For modeling was used Plaxis, which uses the finite element method. Proposals of various slope stabilization solutions were evaluated in the final analysis.
