Abstract

The Bachelor’s thesis addresses the issue of putting back into operation the underground gas storage facility in Dolní Bojanovice following repairs that require the depressurization and aeration of gas pipes or technological units. The thesis analyzes a situation wherein the entire above-ground section of the technology, including gas pipelines serving a number of injection-withdrawal wells, needs to be filled with gas and subsequently pressurized following the replacement of several ball valves. Considering the complex branching of the piping, it is crucial to strictly follow the standard work procedures so as to prevent the formation of gas pockets and thereby the exceeding of the explosive limits within the system.
