Abstract
The topic of thesis is "the effect of migration on the population size of the EU countries". The main goal is to show the differences between the net migration and the rate of natural increase in all 28 EU countries and measure the effect of migration on the total population growth. Time interval covers the years 2004 - 2014. There is also comparison of definitions of net migration in different EU countries. The migration phenomenon is becoming more and more important in Europe.
