Abstract
This bachelor thesis deals with the modernization of the Czech Air Force, focusing on finding the ideal structure of its military equipment. The work is divided into three chapters. The first chapter focuses on
the theoretical part of the economy of national defense, military functioning and financing of the Ministry of Defense and Czech Air Force. The second chapter deals with three main modernization programmes for teh period 2003-2011. In the final chapter, the upgradeability in response to the White Paper on Defense and a proposal of an ideal structure of techniques the Air Force equipment are compared and presented.
