Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with reactive power compensation. The theoretical part describes basic terms and possibilities of power factor compensation. In addition to compensating capacitors, special attention is paid to protective chokes, due to their future use and decompensation chokes. These are further used in the practical part, which is focused on the design of group and individual decompensation for Siemens, s.r.o., Mohelnice electric motors. More detaily are described calculations of capacities and capacitances, which need to be decomposed.
