Abstract

This work deals with the subject of firewater sources. It focuses on the legal obligations of the need to establish firewater resources and the obligations of local authorities and legal, business and natural persons in terms of firewater resources. It further distributes sources of fire water according to normative regulations and addresses their necessity of establishment, requirements for them and maximum permissible distance from objects. The work is focused on sources of fire water from water systems and so part of the work focuses on the water network, more precisely on their divided, used elements, calculation of water pressure. It assesses the status quo and describes the weak spots of the water supply. In terms of the issue of fire water in terms of water supply systems, it compares fire hydrants in the Czech Republic with the supply system in the USA. The work seeks to describe the system of building, checking fire hydrants and trying to find faults with this method of supply and will then propose changes and problem-solving to ensure the continued availability and functionality of these resources.
