Optimalizace řízení zásob

Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the optimization of inventory management. The analyzed company failed to cover sufficient percentage of orders from its inventory. The aim of the thesis was to propose inventory management system that would increase the percentage of orders from stock to existing storage's capacity. Before a new inventory management system was proposed, the system was based on the application of ABC analysis criterion margins and sales volumes in natural expression which determined that the company must follow the structure and size of the inventories based on the margin of the item, not sales volume, as previously performed. This decision was based on insignificant discrepancies in distribution into groups A, B, and C between the two analyzes, and the fact that for the company profitable goods is important, not high-profit merchandise sales volume. Also, the structure of existing inventory was found and the items that the company receives no benefits from and only take up space in warehouses were identified. These unwanted inventory items were further categorized by frequency of the stock-up pieces. Based on this analysis, a system was designed to eliminate the possibility of unwanted inventory items and also measures, which should help the company avoid the cumulation of these items, were recommended. Afterwards, inventory management system was designed, the system is based on theoretical knowledge as well as on analysis of the current situation. The proposed system is based on the application ordering system (s, S) and it is adjusted to the company's situation. In the final part of the thesis, what percentage of orders, which could theoretically be enough with the new system and stock, were calculated. However, this value was determined on the basis of a simple calculation and must be considered only as a guide. Its value can not be determined due to the unpredictable demand. The proposed system does not suffer from the shortcomings of the existing inventory management system and its applications, the company was able to cover a significantly higher percentage of orders from stock and increase the level of logistics services, which should lead to customer's satisfaction.
