Švýcarsko jako obchodní partner Evropské unie

Abstract

European Union and assesses Switzerland’s position as a key trading partner of the Union, despite not being a member. The thesis is divided into three main parts. The first part focuses on the basic characteristics of Switzerland, including its political and economic context, neutrality, and federal system. The second part examines the historical development of trade relations between Switzerland and the EU, particularly the emergence and implementation of bilateral agreements that allowed Switzerland to participate in the EU internal market. The third part analyzes the current trade exchange between the two parties, including investment cooperation, structural changes in trade in goods and services, and the significance of Swiss corporations for the EU economy. The thesis concludes with predictions for the future development of these relations and the identification of potential risks for both parties. The aim of the thesis is to provide a comprehensive view of the degree of economic interconnectedness and dependence between Switzerland and the EU, considering the current political and economic context.
