Revitalizace areálu bývalých kasáren ve Frýdku–Místku

Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with suggestions how to finance a project called “Revitalisation of the former barracks area in Frýdek-Místek”. Its theoretical part clarifies the basic terminology of the municipal development policy, means of funding, possibilities of utilising financial resources from the Regional Operational Programme NUTS II – Moravian-Silesian Region, defining the terms “brownfields”, a municipal budget and city marketing. Furthermore, the thesis analyses the city management of the corporate town of Frýdek-Místek, observance of the municipal budget and particular means of financing, especially within the Integrated Development Plan framework as the fundamental coordination means for the city’s strategic and effective attitude to draw from the EU structural funds. A marketing analysis of the environment has also been included in order to find out public concern about the future utilisation of the existing locality. The outcome of the thesis is a concept of possibilities how to finance the project in question using the ROP NUTS Programme – Moravian-Silesian Region, a long-term loan and utilising own resources.
