Virtualizace na procesorech ARM

Abstract

As part of my bachelor's thesis, I first focused on the theoretical background of virtualization, including an overview of various virtualization techniques. I then examined ARM-based processors in more detail, with a focus on how virtualization is implemented on this architecture. The theoretical section concludes with an introduction to the virtualization platforms VMware ESXi, KVM, and Proxmox VE. The practical part of the thesis involves the deployment of these virtualization tools, the creation of virtual machines, and performance testing using the Linux tools sysbench, stress-ng, and iperf3. In the final section, I analyzed the collected results, visualized the average values in graphs, and compared the performance across the individual platforms.
