Abstract
This bachelor thesis focuses on the complex process of creating and evaluating a three
dimensional digital model of a monument using an optical correlation system. In the
introduction, the actual memorial dedicated to the French partisans, which stands in Strečno as
an expression of respect towards the participants of the fighting in the Strečno Gorge, is
described in detail. The theoretical part develops the key principles of photogrammetry,
including its historical development, its basic classification, and information on cross-sectional
photogrammetry. Particular attention is paid to the definition and accurate determination of
insertion points, which ensure the correct linking of image and geodetic coordinates. The
practical part then describes the preparation of the fieldwork. Subsequently, the actual
procedure of creating the 3D model is discussed in detail, including the processing of the
acquired images in the specialized software Agisoft Metashape, and finally, the results, their
verification and evaluation of the quality of the obtained model are presented.
