Abstract

The subject matter of this dissertation thesis is Competitiveness Analysis of the Industrial Company, which name is hidden under a fictitious name XYZ, spol. s r.o. The company is considered one of the most important companies of this industry in the Czech Republic. The main goal of this thesis is to analyze of competitiveness industrial company with strategic and financial methods. It also includes a comparison to its competitors and determination of proposals to increase the competitiveness and potential to find new competitive advantages. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The theoretical part deals with theoretical basic concepts are defined and selected methods for analyze of competitiveness. In the practical part, these methods are applied to the selected firm. The findings will be compared with the competition. For the analysis was chosen five strategic methods. The first is a PEST analysis, focusing on macro-environment. This will be followed Porter's five forces model is based on identifying the forces in the industry. The internal environment of the company will appreciation of financial analysis, it will be performed by means of financial ratios. For a better comparison will be made financial analysis also for its competitor. The thesis also includes a new approach to competitiveness by the model IDINIMOS. The summary of the practical part is done through the SWOT method. The conclusion of the thesis includes findings and suggestions for possible measures to improve business competitiveness or case may be found in another competitive advantage.
