Abstract

The library is a building, which is an important step for the settlement of a number of problems with the cultural infrastructure of the city of Ostrava. The reason for the construction is based on a fixed requirement for the relocation of the SMO libraries including space archives into a single object. The subject of this work is to create a library of such a proposal, which is in accordance with the requirements of the city in the 21st century and even with the views of the future. The proposal is processed to the extent the volume of the study, where great emphasis is placed on his wheelchair accessibility. An integral part of the architectural-urbanistic solution is imminent, but also of the wider area around the buildings where it is resolved a number of issues relating to the transport and communication links, including parking. The proposal consists of two variants of territory, where in the second variant, is included in the design of an existing reinforced concrete skeleton, located on the ground. Detailed completion refers to a Variant that does not count with this skeleton and where a separate object library is placed relative to the House of culture to build along with him the imaginary square or smaller public space.
