Abstract
This bachelor thesis deals with the problems relating to disturbing effects of outdoor lighting systems. The first part of this paper addresses properties and parameters of different lighting sources and goes on to describe illuminants for outdoor lighting systems. The next chapter is focused on outdoor lighting system analysis, particularly on the design of lamps for public lighting and their distribution. After that, the disturbing effects of outdoor lighting systems are described here, most importantly energy losses into the atmosphere causing the sky glow. The practical part deals with measuring and evaluation of lighting systems’ disturbing effects, especially the spill light, caused by adjacent sources of light. A design of indoor illumination in a room is given in the supplement of my thesis, the design is to detect sustentative illuminance of a window and subsequent calculation of energy losses from the window into the upper half-space.
